The Kim Dotcom case

If you are interested in the Dotcom and the deeper story that lurks behind it I can recommend this video.

John Campbell of TV3 has done an uncharacteristically thorough analysis of the events surrounding the case showing that the US authorities approached NZ for help because the authorities here were so willing to help.

For now the government has been able to embarass the Labour Party, but it will be interesting to see what transpires when Key has to answer to Parliament.

Kim Dotcom & the New Zealand institutions which broke the law

Kim Dotcom. It's a story about something central to life in a western democracy, that the people we entrust with great privileges, the right to act in secret, the right to spy on us, the right to share information about us, the right to carry guns and raid homes, do so in ways the law intended.
